Soekarno-Hatta Airport Records 104,150 Passengers During Extended Holiday Period
Tangerang (ANTARA) – PT Angkasa Pura Indonesia (InJourney) Soekarno-Hatta Airport branch in Tangerang, Banten, recorded 104,150 passengers during the extended Idul Adha 1447 Hijriah/2026 Gregorian holiday period. Assistant Deputy for Communication and Legal Affairs at Soekarno-Hatta Airport, Yudistiawan, stated on Saturday in Tangerang that operational plans for the period included 845 flights carrying 104,150 passengers. ‘Passenger movement during this period totalled 104,150, with 56,490 departures and 47,660 arrivals,’ he said. He added that passenger density was distributed across all terminals, with the highest volume at Terminal 3 and Terminal 2. ‘Passenger traffic through Terminal 1 reached 20,667 with 184 flights, while Terminal 2 handled 33,147 passengers across 277 flights,’ Yudistiawan continued. ‘Terminal 3 recorded 50,336 passengers and 368 flights,’ he said. However, this figure marked a decline compared to the previous day, 29 May 2026, when passenger movement reached 121,722 across 923 flights. Yudistiawan added that the total movement was supported by the three main terminals, with 61,377 departures and 60,345 arrivals. InJourney Airports projected around three million passengers across 37 airports during the national holidays for Idul Adha and Pancasila Day from 26 May to 2 June 2026. InJourney Airports’ President Director Mohammad R. Pahlevi said the projected three million passengers occurred during the Idul Adha holiday on 27-28 May 2026, coinciding with the weekend of 30-31 May and Pancasila Day on 1 June. ‘The highest passenger numbers are projected for 26 May, around 412,000 with 3,000 flights, and 1 June with approximately 423,000 passengers and 3,000 flights,’ he said. Despite this, all airports have prepared measures to ensure safety, security, and service quality during the extended holiday. ‘We are ensuring smooth and comfortable air travel across all InJourney Airports during the Idul Adha holiday coinciding with the weekend and Pancasila Day national holiday,’ he added. Pahlevi said airports have adjusted flight slot times to ensure smooth operations. ‘Aircraft parking on the airside is also a focus to ensure smooth passenger arrival and departure flows. Additionally, all airport staff will serve passengers and users with full dedication,’ he said. InJourney has also coordinated with all stakeholders to ensure smooth passenger processes, from check-in and boarding to baggage handling and public transport availability at airports.
