Soekarno-Hatta Airport Ranks in World's Top 10 Best Immigration Services According to Skytrax
Soekarno-Hatta International Airport’s immigration services have successfully maintained their position as one of the world’s best airport immigration services at the 2026 World Airport Skytrax Awards.
The official event, held in London, England, on Wednesday (18/3/2026) as part of the 2026 World Airports Awards Ceremony, has elevated Soekarno-Hatta Airport’s name among the world’s top immigration services.
The success of immigration at Soekarno-Hatta Airport also signifies Indonesia’s consistency in holding this elite position for two consecutive years, following a similar achievement the previous year.
This accomplishment places Indonesia on par with other international airports such as Singapore Changi Airport, Bahrain International Airport, and Hong Kong International Airport.
Furthermore, several other global airport immigration services also ranked in the top 10 best worldwide, including Seoul Incheon in 4th place, Taiwan Taoyuan in 7th place, and Rome Fiumicino in 9th place.
Maintaining the immigration service in the world’s top 10 for 2025 and 2026 reflects the stability of immigration service quality in Indonesia. This is notable given that several major global airports have experienced shifts due to intense global competition.
Skytrax’s assessment is based on the World Airport Survey, involving users from over 100 nationalities from August 2025 to February 2026.
The evaluation indicators include waiting time efficiency, optimisation of autogate technology, availability of priority lanes, and the professionalism of service officers.
“This achievement is the fruit of the hard work of all personnel in the Directorate General of Immigration. Moving forward, we will continue to strengthen cooperation with various parties to ensure that immigration services at Soekarno-Hatta Airport remain superior and efficient. We are committed to ongoing innovation to enhance the experience of airport users and strengthen Indonesia’s positive image internationally,” stated the Director General of Immigration, as quoted by Kompas.com from an official statement by the Ministry of Immigration and Correctional Services of the Republic of Indonesia, Directorate General of Immigration, on Friday (20/3/2026).
Not only the Director General of Immigration, Yuldi Yusman, but Minister of Immigration and Correctional Services, Agus Andrianto, also conveyed that this achievement results from digital transformation and the hard work of all personnel.
Agus also assured that this success can serve as motivation to further strengthen service standards for greater efficiency, security, and friendliness towards every passenger.
