Tangerang (ANTARA) - Soekarno-Hatta International Airport (Soetta) in Tangerang, Banten, managed by PT Angkasa Pura Indonesia (InJourney Airports), has successfully secured 22nd place as one of the world’s best airports according to Skytrax 2026. At the World Airport Awards held by Skytrax in London on 18 March 2026, Soekarno-Hatta Airport entered the list of the World’s Top 100 Airports. “With this 22nd position, Soetta Airport has improved from 25th place the previous year. This achievement is one of the most prestigious in the global airport industry,” said General Manager of Soekarno-Hatta International Airport, Heru Karyadi, in his statement in Tangerang on Monday. According to him, this world’s best airport achievement is based on evaluations from the World Airport Survey involving passengers from more than 100 countries, with the survey period running from August 2025 to February 2026. The survey covers various service aspects, from check-in processes, arrivals, transit, commercial areas, security and immigration, to departure gates. “We are committed to continuing to deliver the best experience and improve service quality in line with public expectations,” he said. Heru added that the result serves as motivation to maintain service standards while strengthening collaboration with all stakeholders. “We will continue various transformation and innovation programmes so that Soekarno-Hatta Airport can provide world-class services that make Indonesia proud, with full support from all stakeholders,” he stated.
