The schedule for the Basoetta Commuter Line, also known as the Soekarno-Hatta Airport Rail, has been reduced starting today. This measure was taken as a result of the temporary operation of the Tanjung Priok line using Basoetta train sets.

“Starting Thursday, 10 September 2026, the Basoetta Commuter Line service schedule will be reduced from 70 trips to 52 trips,” stated Karina Amanda, VP Corporate Secretary of KAI Commuter, in a statement on Thursday (10/9/2026).

Nevertheless, KAI Commuter (KCI) has ensured that there are no changes to fares or schedules for the Tanjung Priok Commuter Line service. Operational services will continue to run normally as they did with previous train sets.

Consequently, KAI Commuter advises all Basoetta Commuter Line users to readjust their travel schedules. Passengers who have purchased tickets for schedules affected by this adjustment may board before or after their original departure time, or alternatively, request a 100% ticket refund through Basoetta Commuter Line station counters.

KAI Commuter has released the updated departure times for the Airport Rail service effective from today. The following is the list of adjusted departure schedules for the Basoetta Commuter Line, as reported by the @CommuterLine X account:

KAI Commuter informs that updated travel schedules and ticket bookings for the Basoetta Commuter Line can be accessed via the C-Access or Access by KAI applications.

This step was taken by KAI Commuter following an evaluation of operational adjustments necessitated by ongoing maintenance of KRL rolling stock, aimed at optimising the number of daily Commuter Line trips.

“KAI Commuter sincerely apologises for the inconvenience caused by this temporary adjustment to the service on the affected lines,” said Karina.

Meanwhile, several train sets from the Tanjung Priok line have been diverted to operate on the Bogor line. With this addition, the frequency of the Bogor Commuter Line service will increase by 1t3 trips.

“With the operation of these sets, the number of Bogor Commuter Line trips will increase by 13,” she added.

She further noted that the addition of these 13 trips is intended to support demand and increase passenger capacity on the Bogor Commuter Line service.

“Therefore, starting Thursday (10/9), the Bogor Commuter Line trips will be increased by 13, bringing the total number of Jabodetabek Commuter Line trips to 1,061. Previously, 1,048 trips were recorded between 7-9 September,” said Karina.

Karina explained that this increase is the result of an evaluation regarding passenger congestion that occurred following the previous adjustment of 17 Bogor Commuter Line trips.

“This step was taken by regulating the circulation pattern of Commuter Line rolling stock across all service lines to optimise the number of scheduled trips,” concluded Karina.
