Soekarno-Hatta Airport operations unaffected by Tangerang fire
Tangerang - PT Angkasa Pura Indonesia (Persero), also known as InJourney Airports, through the Soekarno-Hatta Airport Branch Office in Tangerang, Banten, has ensured that all flight operations continue to run normally and smoothly following a fire incident near the airport in the Kosambi Permai Warehouse Area, Kosambi District, Tangerang Regency, on Wednesday afternoon.
The Assistant Deputy of Communication & Legal at Soekarno-Hatta International Airport, Yudistiawan, stated in an official statement in Tangerang on Wednesday that, based on monitoring by the Airport Operation Control Centre (AOCC), the fire incident is confirmed to have no impact on flight operations.
“The management of Soekarno-Hatta International Airport continues to monitor the situation and coordinate with relevant authorities to ensure that the conditions around the airport remain safe,” he said.
He added that all aircraft departures and arrivals continue to operate according to the established schedules.
“The situation at the site of the fire is currently being handled intensively by the relevant parties,” he noted.
In relation to the incident, InJourney has urged all airport users to remain calm and to always monitor official information from the Soekarno-Hatta Airport management.
“Passengers are also advised to continue monitoring the latest information updates through the airport’s official communication channels or through their respective airlines,” he said.
