Soekarno-Hatta Airport Handles 167,602 Passengers as Eid Holiday Approaches
Tangerang — The number of passengers at Soekarno-Hatta International Airport reached 167,602 on Monday, 16 March 2026, four days ahead of Eid al-Fitr 2026.
Assistant Deputy for Communication and Legal Affairs at PT Angkasa Pura Indonesia’s Soekarno-Hatta Airport branch, Yudistiawan, stated that the figure represents total passenger movement comprising both departing and arriving passengers.
“Total passenger movement is estimated to reach 167,602 people, comprising 93,998 departing passengers and 73,604 arriving passengers,” Yudistiawan said on Monday.
Yudistiawan noted that flights serviced on the day consisted of 582 departing flights and 579 arriving flights.
“So the total number of flights serviced is 1,161 flights,” he said.
Furthermore, flight and passenger movement was distributed across three passenger terminals operating at Soekarno-Hatta Airport.
Terminal 1 recorded 312 flights with a total of 48,128 passengers. Terminal 2 for domestic routes recorded 352 flights with 46,384 passengers. Meanwhile, international routes at the same terminal recorded 93 flights with a total of 13,413 passengers.
Terminal 3 recorded 235 domestic flights with 30,931 passengers. In addition to passenger flights, Soekarno-Hatta Airport also handled 15 cargo flights on the same day.
The increase in passenger numbers is attributable to heightened public mobility as the Eid al-Fitr 2026 holiday approaches.
