Soekarno-Hatta Airport Expands Flight Routes in Asia

PT Angkasa Pura Indonesia (InJourney) through the Soekarno-Hatta International Airport Branch (Soetta) in Tangerang, Banten, is opening new flight routes in 2026. The opening of these new routes includes the presence of T’way Air airline. This airline will serve the flight route from Soekarno-Hatta Airport to Incheon Airport (South Korea), which will open from 29 April 2026. “The development of this flight network makes the airport an agent of development to support growth and equitable economic distribution as well as contributions to the national tourism sector,” said InJourney Airports CEO Mohammad R. Pahlevi in a confirmed written statement in Tangerang on Monday, 4 May 2026, as reported by Antara. He said that besides Soekarno-Hatta International Airport, the addition of flight routes is also being carried out at several airports in Indonesia, including the presence of Scoot airline opening a route at HAS Hanandjoeddin Airport Belitung - Changi Airport Singapore. Then, in June 2026, there is a new route from Supadio Airport Pontianak - Changi Airport. Furthermore, Spring Airlines is planned to serve routes from Guangzhou and Shenzhen to Soekarno-Hatta Airport starting June 2026. “In the international route market, our target within 2 years is to increase the frequency of existing flight routes and open new routes,” said Pahlevi. Several airlines, he said, have great opportunities to open routes at various InJourney Airports airports. In the near future, Centrum Air will serve the Tashkent, Uzbekistan route to I Gusti Ngurah Rai Airport, Bali; as well as Greater Bay Airlines which will fly inaugural from Hong Kong to Juanda International Airport, Surabaya. “This is the basis for building long-haul flight connectivity (long haul) directly or direct flights from airports in Indonesia,” he said. Pahlevi said that from January to April 2026, 53 new flight routes have been operated at various airports consisting of routes that have never been operated before as well as the addition of new flight services. The number of routes in that period increased by 15 percent compared to the same period last year with the addition of 46 flight routes. “An example of a route that has never been operated before is Sam Ratulangi Airport Manado - Naha Tahuna Airport, which is now served by Wings Air starting May 2026,” he said.
