Soekarno-Hatta Airport Adjusts Schedule for 39 Middle East Route Flights
Tangerang—PT Angkasa Pura Indonesia (InJourney Airports), which operates Soekarno-Hatta International Airport (Soetta) in Tangerang, Banten, has adjusted the departure schedules of 39 Middle East route flights that were previously delayed following conflict in the region.
Aziz Fahmi Harahap, Acting Assistant Deputy for Communication and Legal Affairs at Soekarno-Hatta International Airport, stated in Tangerang on Monday that as of 10:00 AM local time, 39 scheduled flights on Middle East routes were recorded, comprising 20 arrivals and 19 departures, including 38 regular flights and one charter flight.
“Following developments in flight operations on Middle East routes, we report based on route authorisation data issued by the relevant authorities and updates as of 10:00 AM local time,” he said.
He explained that the schedule adjustments for Middle East routes include Abu Dhabi (AUH) with three flights, Doha (DOH) with eight flights, Dubai (DXB) with four flights, Istanbul (IST) with two flights, Jeddah (JED) with 17 flights, and Madinah (MED) with three flights.
To date, one flight has departed—Saudi Airlines SV827 bound for Jeddah—and three flights have landed: Lion Air JT115 from Jeddah, Saudia Airlines SV816 from Jeddah, and Garuda Indonesia GA969 from Madinah.
“Overall, operations at Soekarno-Hatta International Airport remain safe, orderly and conducive,” he said.
The schedule adjustments represent a follow-up to developments in the operational situation on Middle East routes. Handling of affected passengers is being carried out in accordance with applicable regulations through intensive coordination with relevant agencies. Airlines will update schedules and handle passengers already at the airport, AirNav Indonesia will monitor affected airspace conditions, and security authorities will anticipate developments and ensure airport security remains protected.
Airport authorities have urged prospective passengers to continuously monitor the latest information through official channels of their respective airlines and confirm flight status before heading to the airport.
