Soehandoyo holds new post

BANDUNG: Former spokesman for the Attorney General's Office Soehandoyo was installed on Wednesday as the head of the Rangkasbitung Prosecutor's Office.

Speaking after a ceremony presided over by West Java Prosecutor's Office chief Haprileny, Soehandoyo said he did not feel he was being sidelined by being moved out of the capital.

"A reshuffle in the Attorney General's Office is at work now," he simply said.

Asked if he was disappointed that many of his colleagues had been posted to better positions, Soehandoyo said: "Maybe my friends have fared better than me."

During his service, Soehandoyo saw three different heads of the Attorney General's Office: Andi Ghalib, Ismudjoko and current Attorney General Marzuki Darusman. (25/edt)
