SOE Regulatory Agency States Appointment Decrees for Merah Putih Village Cooperatives are Under Finalisation
The Deputy Head of the State-Owned Enterprise Regulatory Agency (BP BUMN), Tedi Bharata, stated that the appointment decrees (SK) for the managers of the Merah Putih Village/Sub-district Cooperatives (KDKMP) are in the finalisation stage.
“Regarding that, in my view, it is in finalisation, sir. We just have to wait,” Tedi said when met during the ANTARA Business Forum (ABF) 2026 in Jakarta on Wednesday.
This statement relates to the Minister of Cooperatives, Ferry Juliantono, stating that the soft launching of KDKMP operations is scheduled to begin in October 2026. A total of 17,288 KDKMPs that already possess physical buildings are targeted to begin operations by late September or early October 2026.
During a working meeting with Commission VI of the Indonesian House of Representatives (DPR RI) in Jakarta on Thursday (17/9), Ferry noted that these 17,288 KDKMPs have warehouse buildings, outlets, and other facilities ready, based on data from PT Agrinas Pangan Nusantara provided to the Ministry of Cooperatives.
Subsequently, these cooperatives will undergo verification, review, and handover processes before proceeding to the manager placement stage and the commencement of KDKMP operations. Meanwhile, the placement of KDKMP managers is expected to take place this week, once the appointment decrees are issued.
Ferry explained that 28,626 KDKMP managers have been recruited. The issuance of appointment decrees will occur after the Presidential Regulation regarding the Governance of KDKMP is published. He added that KDKMP managers will hold status as workers under fixed-term employment contracts (PKWT) under PT Agrinas Pangan Nusantara for a period of two years.
During the Second National Conference on People’s Plantations in Jakarta on Monday (21/9), Ferry stated that KDKMP operations can commence once the Presidential Regulation on KDKMP Operational Governance is signed by the President. However, he did not specify the exact number of KDKMPs that will undergo the soft launch this coming October.
In addition to regulation, operational preparations also include manager placement. The Minister of Cooperatives noted that the recruited managers, who have undergone training, have received appointment decrees, which include the determination of salaries and allowances.
