Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Head of BP BUMN and COO of Danantara, Dony Oskaria, stated that the transformation or streamlining of state-owned enterprises (BUMNs) and their subsidiaries is accompanied by legal certainty. “BUMN transformation does not only focus on strengthening business but also ensures that all processes run with legal certainty, good governance, and measured risk mitigation,” Dony said in a statement confirmed by ANTARA from Jakarta on Tuesday. The efforts undertaken to obtain legal certainty in the context of BUMN restructuring include holding a Focus Group Discussion (FGD) titled “Legal Perspectives on the Strategic Alignment Programme for BUMN Restructuring and BUMN Subsidiaries: Legal Certainty, Governance, and Risk Mitigation” at Wisma Danantara Indonesia on Tuesday (12/5). The event was attended by Deputy Minister of Law Edward Omar Sharif Hiariej, Chief Junior Attorney General for Civil and State Administrative Affairs (Jamdatun) Narendra Jatna, and Chief Junior Attorney General for Intelligence (Jamintel) Reda Manthovani as part of strengthening cross-institutional coordination in supporting BUMN transformation. The FGD serves as a strategic forum to strengthen shared understanding regarding legal aspects in the BUMN and subsidiary restructuring and streamlining process. Through this discussion, the government and stakeholders encourage the creation of legal certainty, strengthening of good corporate governance, and measured risk mitigation steps in every corporate transformation process. The forum also becomes a constructive discussion space between the government, law enforcement apparatus, and BUMN managers in aligning perspectives on the implementation of strategic BUMN restructuring policies. With this common understanding, it is hoped that the BUMN transformation process can run more optimally, measurably, and have a strong regulatory foundation in facing business challenges and global economic dynamics. BP BUMN together with Danantara Indonesia continues to drive cross-institutional synergy to ensure BUMN management is carried out professionally, prudently, transparently, and oriented towards sustainability. Through collaboration with ministries, law enforcement apparatus, and all stakeholders, BP BUMN and Danantara are committed to ensuring that every BUMN transformation and restructuring process runs according to good governance principles, thereby strengthening BUMN’s competitiveness at the global level while providing real contributions to national economic growth and public welfare.
