The State-Owned Enterprise Agency (BP BUMN) has reaffirmed the role of State-Owned Enterprises (SOEs) as an anchor for national capital market stability. The Head of BP BUMN, who also serves as the Chief Operating Officer (COO) of Danantara, Dony Oskaria, stated that the current condition of SOE issuers remains strong and capable of supporting market stability amidst global and domestic economic dynamics.

“SOE issuers are currently demonstrating very good performance and are contributing to the stability of the Indonesian capital market amidst the fluctuations of the Jakarta Composite Index (IHSG),” Dony said in a statement in Jakarta on Wednesday. According to him, the contribution of SOE issuers is reflected not only in their financial and operational achievements but also in their ability to maintain the resilience of the national capital market sector.

The positive performance of state-owned companies on the stock exchange is considered a significant factor in maintaining national capital market stability and strengthening optimism regarding Indonesia’s economic prospects amidst global economic challenges. This commitment to market stability was demonstrated through a strategic working visit to the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) in Jakarta, conducted by the Head of BP BUMN alongside the Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Sufmi Dasco Ahmad, the CEO of Danantara, Rosan Roeslani, the Chair of the Financial Services Authority (OJK), Friderica Widyasari Dewi, and the Board of Directors of the IDX.

This cross-institutional visit is part of a strategic step to strengthen coordination between stakeholders to monitor market stability in real-time. In addition to enhancing coordination, the meeting served as a momentum to reaffirm a shared commitment to maintaining a national investment climate that remains conducive, competitive, and sustainable. Capital market stability is viewed as playing a vital role in supporting national development financing and driving inclusive economic growth. Through the strengthening of investment governance and the financial sector, BP BUMN and Danantara continue to encourage the creation of a healthy, transparent, and sustainable market ecosystem to support national economic growth that directly benefits the public.
