Jakarta, VIVA - The Jaringan Muslim Madani (JMM) is calling on all elements of Indonesian society to strengthen brotherhood, unity, and national solidarity in addressing the increasingly uncertain global situation due to international geopolitical dynamics.

This appeal comes in the wake of various global developments that have the potential to affect economic stability, security, and social resilience in various countries, including Indonesia.

JMM assesses that in an unpredictable world situation, national unity is the primary capital for the nation to remain steadfast in facing various global challenges.

JMM Executive Director Syukron Jamal, in his statement, emphasised that Indonesian society must strengthen the spirit of nationalism, maintain social harmony, and reinforce brotherhood amid differences.

“In a world shrouded in geopolitical uncertainty and the potential for global crises, the Indonesian nation must strengthen brotherhood, solidarity, and unity. We must not be divided by political differences, identities, or short-term interests,” he said.

The lecturer from UIN Jakarta also welcomed the appeal from the President of the Republic of Indonesia, Prabowo Subianto, who called on all Indonesian people to unite in safeguarding and saving the nation’s future.

In his statement, President Prabowo stressed the importance of national unity amid global challenges and invited all citizens to jointly protect the republic.

According to JMM, this message serves as an important reminder that the strength of the nation lies not only in natural resources or economic power, but in the solidarity of the people and national leadership capable of uniting all elements of the nation.

Furthermore, JMM views the momentum of the holy month of Ramadan, which is approaching its final phase towards Eid al-Fitr, as an opportunity for social reconciliation and strengthening national brotherhood.

“Eid al-Fitr is a spiritual moment to return to the purity of the heart, strengthen social ties, and reaffirm our national commitment as one nation and one homeland,” explained Syukron.

JMM also invites all religious leaders, community figures, academics, young generation, and all components of the nation to jointly maintain social tranquility, national optimism, and the spirit of mutual cooperation in facing ever-changing global dynamics.
