Social Minister Reminds All PKH Assistants to Work Professionally

Many problems arise from neglecting to carry out duties properly. They should assist rather than mislead. Malang, East Java (ANTARA) - Social Minister (Mensos) Saifullah Yusuf has asked all Programme Keluarga Harapan (PKH) assistants to carry out their tasks professionally. Speaking at the Malang Regency Office in East Java on Monday, the minister said he does not want any more incidents of PKH assistants being dismissed for working against the rules. “I am saddened, I do not want any more dismissals of assistants. (To prevent recurrence) I ask that you work correctly because the PKH assistants already know the rules,” said Social Minister Saifullah Yusuf. The minister explained that three PKH assistants have currently been dismissed due to committing work discipline violations. The action taken by the Ministry of Social Affairs (Kemensos) is a continuation of last year’s disciplinary evaluation process. Kemensos has issued Warning Letter 1 and Warning Letter 2 to around 500 PKH assistants across Indonesia in 2025. From that number, 49 assistants have been dismissed. He explained that the decision to dismiss a PKH assistant is not done arbitrarily, but through a series of procedures, for example, if the individual neglects their duties, they first receive Warning Letter 1. Then, if the violation is repeated, said he, they will receive Warning Letter 2 from the relevant ministry, and only if they violate again will the dismissal step be taken. In addition, the minister stated that the central government never turns a blind eye to all PKH assistants who have good work performance achievements. The government, he continued, greatly appreciates PKH assistants who demonstrate total commitment and professionalism in carrying out their duties. “We give trust to all friends, I hope this is maintained and carried out well and sincerely,” said Social Minister Saifullah Yusuf.
