JAKARTA - Social Minister Saifullah Yusuf has assured that the disbursement of regular social assistance (bansos) for the Family Hope Programme (PKH) and Non-Cash Food Assistance (BPNT) for the second quarter will take place in the second week of April 2026.

Saifullah stated that the data for social assistance beneficiary families (KPM), which was previously received on the 20th at the start of each quarter, has now been advanced to the 10th, namely 10 April, 10 July, and 10 October.

“Now, on the 10th of every month, we receive the results of the data updates, and this serves as the guideline for the monthly social assistance disbursement. So for this second quarter, it (disbursement) starts in the second week of April,” said Gus Ipul, Saifullah’s familiar nickname, at the Ministry of Social Affairs office on Wednesday (1/4/2026).

For new beneficiaries who do not yet have bank accounts, the disbursement is temporarily conducted through PT Pos Indonesia before being transferred to Himbara in the following quarter.

“While we open collective accounts for the new beneficiaries, and it will be used for disbursement in the next quarter through Himbara. So it cannot be disbursed via Himbara because they do not have accounts,” said Gus Ipul.

He mentioned that opening accounts for new beneficiaries takes a maximum of three months.

“The allocation up to today remains over 18 million. There has been no addition or thickening, unless there is a new policy, an economic stimulus that is part of the President’s programme,” he said.

He reminded the beneficiaries to use the government social assistance more wisely for family purposes.

“I invite the beneficiaries to utilise the social assistance wisely according to its intended purpose,” said Gus Ipul.
