Social Minister: Construction of People's School in Tangerang City Still Completing Administration

Tangerang (ANTARA) - Social Minister Saifullah Yusuf has assured that the construction of the People’s School in Tangerang City, Banten, is still in the process of completion and fulfilling administrative files.

“For the construction of the People’s School in Tangerang City, it is still in planning; we are still completing the letters and administration first,” said the Social Minister during an event on capacity building and assistance for People’s School library management staff in Serpong, Tangerang, on Wednesday.

He explained that the People’s School in Tangerang City will be built permanently in accordance with the national planning determined. Since the land to be built on belongs to the Ministry of Law, everything is in the process of completing the files.

“It will become a permanent school; we just wait for the files to be completed quickly,” he stated.

For the construction, the Social Minister continued, it will later be carried out by the Ministry of Public Works (PU) as the appropriate expert party in its field.

“The construction will be fully carried out by the Ministry of PU. The Social Ministry is only ensuring the administrative process,” he said.

Yeti explained that the construction of the People’s School is part of the national strategic programme to break the chain of poverty through education.

Therefore, various preparations have been made, including administrative requirements such as completing asset certification, permits, and even an environmental impact assessment, which will soon be followed up in this year’s revised budget.

“We are moving quickly to follow up on the People’s School construction plan. After coordinating with the central government yesterday,” she said.
