Social Minister Assures Q2 Social Assistance Payments: At Latest by Month's End
JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com - Social Minister (Mensos) Saifullah Yusuf, or Gus Ipul, has assured that social assistance (bansos) under the Family Hope Program (PKH) and Non-Cash Food Assistance (BPNT) for the second quarter of 2026 will be disbursed this month.
“Hopefully, distribution can begin in the third week. Insha’Allah, hopefully. At the latest by the end of the month, but it can start being distributed this third week,” Saifullah said after meeting the Head of BPS, Amalia Adininggar, at the Ministry of Social Affairs office in Central Jakarta on Monday (13/4/2026).
Beneficiary family data (KPM) for social assistance, previously received by the Ministry of Social Affairs on the 20th of each early quarter, has now been advanced to the 10th, namely 10 April.
“For this second quarter, alhamdulillah, we can receive the DTSEN earlier; usually on the 20th, now we can receive it on the 10th,” he said.
“The total is distributed to 18 million KPM for PKH and BPNT, which is directly sent to the beneficiaries through Himbara bank accounts or PT Pos,” he added.
Meanwhile, for elderly beneficiaries or those with disabilities, the sub-district or village offices will deliver directly to their respective homes.
Saifullah stated that for this second quarter, there are several beneficiaries who will no longer receive social assistance.
“There are those who have been receiving it, but they will not receive it again in this second quarter. Indeed, the data is dynamic,” he explained.
If there are protests from the public, Saifullah invites them to lodge complaints through the channels provided by the Ministry of Social Affairs.
“They can go to the village operator, RT/RW, come to the Social Services Office, our Command Center 121 channels or WA Center 08877171171. All of that accommodates aspirations and objections from the public,” he said.
