Social Minister Saifullah Yusuf (Gus Ipul) has expressed appreciation to Kitabisa for its collaboration with the Ministry of Social Affairs in assisting with the financing for hundreds of underprivileged patients throughout 2025. This collaboration represents a form of social mutual assistance to help access healthcare services for underprivileged communities facing financial barriers to hospital treatment.

“Over 300 patients in collaboration with 100 [hospitals] have had their financing supported by Kitabisa.com. This is real assistance for those in need,” said Gus Ipul in his statement on Tuesday (14/4/2026).

He conveyed this during a meeting with Kitabisa at the Ministry of Social Affairs office in Central Jakarta today.

Throughout 2025, Kitabisa together with the Ministry of Social Affairs has distributed aid worth Rp13,210,486,874 or Rp13.2 billion to help treat underprivileged patients. A total of 368 patients have been assisted, with 362 fund disbursements paid to various hospitals to accelerate medical treatment.

In addition to medical procedure costs, the aid also covers various supportive needs during the treatment process.

Gus Ipul emphasised that the collaboration with Kitabisa will continue to be strengthened so that more underprivileged communities can be helped.

“In the future, we will continue to collaborate to assist those in need,” he said.

On the same occasion, Kitabisa’s Co-Founder and President Alfatih Timur welcomed the Ministry of Social Affairs’ support in helping to raise funds for underprivileged communities.

“We appreciate the support that the Ministry of Social Affairs has provided so far, as well as the permission to collect money and goods, so that we can organise public fundraising in accordance with applicable regulations,” Alfatih stated.
