Social Minister: 470,000 New Social Aid Recipients from DTSEN Update
For the second quarter, there are more than 470,000 new beneficiary families receiving assistance, who did not receive aid in the first quarter. Jakarta (ANTARA) - Social Minister (Mensos) Saifullah Yusuf stated that there are more than 470,000 new Beneficiary Families (KPM) who will begin receiving social assistance in the second quarter of 2026 based on the update to the National Single Social and Economic Data (DTSEN). “For the second quarter, there are more than 470,000 new KPM receiving assistance, who did not receive aid in the first quarter,” said Mensos Saifullah Yusuf during a ministerial-level meeting in Jakarta on Saturday. The Social Minister explained that the distribution of this assistance refers to the DTSEN, which is continuously updated together with the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) and local governments as a guide for aid distribution through the Ministry of Social Affairs (Kemensos). “Alhamdulillah, we now have more than 70,000 village data operators, through which the SIK-NG (Next Generation Social Welfare Information System) application is connected with district/city Social Affairs Offices, provincial Social Affairs Offices, the Ministry of Social Affairs, and the DTSEN managed directly by BPS,” said Mensos Saifullah Yusuf. Through this system, he said, the government can measure proposals and monitor the socio-economic development of each beneficiary family in real terms. Meanwhile, BPS Head Amalia Adininggar Widyasanti reported that the poverty rate as of September 2025 was 8.25 percent and extreme poverty reached 0.78 percent. “Up to the second quarter of 2026, the number of people registered in the DTSEN that has been reconciled with Dukcapil data is recorded at 289 million people,” said Amalia.
