Social Compassion Marks Ramadan at Al Azhar Memorial Garden

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA — Al Azhar Memorial Garden distributed a number of essential supplies to residents around the cemetery area managed by the Al Azhar Islamic Boarding School Foundation. This serves as a moment to strengthen empathy and solidarity.

“During this blessed month of Ramadan, we want to share happiness with the surrounding community. Therefore, the assistance is focused on families in need,” said the General Manager of Al Azhar Memorial Garden, Panca, in a statement on Tuesday (24 February 2026).

Furthermore, he added, this activity is also a form of the company’s gratitude by providing tangible benefits to the community. He hopes that through this activity, togetherness will be further strengthened with the residents of Karawang.

Panca also said that social concern is not just an annual ceremonial programme. According to him, humanitarian values should be the foundation in every step the company takes.

The distribution of basic necessities was carried out in an organised and targeted manner. Residents around the area were prioritised as recipients.

Management ensured that the distribution process ran smoothly and efficiently. The assistance is expected to help with the preparation of essential needs during the fasting period.
