Social Affairs Ministry and TNI Collaborate: 1,000 Military Academy Cadets to Train Sekolah Rakyat Students
The Ministry of Social Affairs (Kemensos) and the TNI are collaborating to prepare a character-building programme for students at People’s Schools (Sekolah Rakyat). Around 1,000 cadets from the Military Academy (Akmil) will be involved in this development process.
Five cadets are planned to be responsible for each school to deliver various modules, such as maintaining the neatness of clothing and dormitory rooms. “Following the scheme established between the TNI Headquarters and the Ministry of Social Affairs, under the Ministry of Defence, the plan is that each People’s School will have five cadets to guide both students and teachers regarding tidiness,” said Deputy Minister of Social Affairs Agus Jabo Priyono at the Ministry of Social Affairs office in Central Jakarta on Wednesday, 24 June 2026.
During the meeting, the Deputy Minister met with the Commander General of the TNI Academy, Lt. Gen. R. Sidiharta Wisnu Graha, the Chief of Territorial Staff, Lt. Gen. Bambang Trisnohadi, and the Director of TNI Academy Education, Brig. Gen. Ari Novian.
Agus Jabo stated that this coaching is essential to shape students’ characters to be more disciplined and orderly. Consequently, the implementation involves the TNI.
