Social Affairs Ministry and BPS Ready to Launch DTSEN Version 3
Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Ministry of Social Affairs, in collaboration with the Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS), is preparing to launch version 3 of the National Socio-Economic Single Data (DTSEN) as part of a commitment to strengthen the accuracy of social assistance distribution databases.
The Minister of Social Affairs, Saifullah Yusuf, stated during a press conference following a meeting with the Head of BPS in Jakarta on Wednesday, that this intensive coordination is conducted every three months to consolidate periodic data updates.
“DTSEN serves as a guideline to ensure social assistance distribution is increasingly accurate. Although further consolidation is still required, particularly with local governments, to ensure our data aligns with reality,” he said.
Consequently, he noted that periodic reporting from local governments is crucial to ensure that state instruments do not erroneously distribute social assistance to beneficiaries who have passed away or relocated.
The government’s quota for social assistance beneficiaries for the PKH and BPNT programmes targets 18 million families. From this quota, the Ministry of Social Affairs’ Data and Information Centre previously announced that 475,821 new families have been designated as recipients for the Family Hope Programme (PKH) and Non-Cash Food Assistance (BPNT) for the second quarter of 2026.
This number replaces previous recipients who have graduated from the programme, passed away, or were identified as civil servants (ASN), members of the TNI/Polri, employees of State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN), or legislative members.
Meanwhile, the Head of BPS, Amalia Adininglyar Widyasanti, stated that the synchronisation and coordination for the finalisation of DTSEN version 3 for 2026 is scheduled for completion in early July.
In addition to the DTSEN update, BPS has agreed to provide a dedicated channel titled “Cek DTSEN” (Check DTSEN) as an acceleration measure for the public or students to perform self-updates, particularly regarding adjustments to decile status.
“We have agreed to provide a channel to accelerate the process, allowing the public or students to update DTSEN through the Cek DTSEN channel,” said Amalia.
On the same occasion, BPS also reported on the field progress of the 2026 Economic Census, which is held once every ten years. Total data collection has now reached 30 per cent, with household data collection exceeding 20 per cent of the total population.
BPS urged all levels of society to ensure the success of the 2026 Economic Census following the “TIR” principle: Welcome census officers into your home, Fill in data truthfully, and Do not worry, as data confidentiality is fully guaranteed by law.
“We are certainly still continuing our synchronisation and coordination in the framework of finalising DTSEN version 3 for 2026,” added Amalia.
