JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com - Minister of Social Affairs, Saifullah Yusuf, has reminded his staff to work professionally and refrain from engaging in corruption when implementing various programmes.

If anyone persists in doing so, Saifullah affirmed that he would be the first to report them to law enforcement authorities.

“I would also like to convey that it is not easy to engage in corruption these days. If anyone persists, God willing, it will only be a matter of time before they are caught,” Saifullah stated in an official press release on Friday (15/5/2026).

“If there is anyone in the Ministry of Social Affairs who engages in corruption, I and the Vice Minister will be the first to report them,” he added.

Through this statement, Saifullah called on all his staff not to abuse their authority to engage in corruption.

“If there is any information about corruption, I will immediately form a team, ask them to investigate, and if proven, I will report it to the Attorney General’s Office, the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK), or other law enforcement agencies,” he said.

“No one should play around; it is no longer the time to manipulate the regional budget (APBD) or the state budget (APBN). It is no longer the time to engage in corruption, to take what is not rightfully theirs,” he emphasised.

He said that PKH facilitators are at the forefront of poverty alleviation and increasing the independence of beneficiary families.

Currently, PKH facilitators have also been entrusted by the state by being appointed as PPPKs.

“This is an extraordinary honour. It should not be tarnished by activities or actions that are inappropriate; otherwise, they will only harm themselves,” he said.
