SOC 44 Solo Group Arrives in Mecca, Ushering in Indonesia's Second Wave of Hajj Pilgrims

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, MECCA – Indonesian Hajj pilgrims from flight group (kloter) 44 of the Solo embarkation (SOC 44) arrived in Mecca on Thursday (7/5/2026). They are leading the second wave of pilgrims departing from Indonesia directly to Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.

The inaugural group, which travelled on a direct flight from Indonesia, arrived at Hotel Burj Rawdak in the Raudhah area (Sector 5) of Mecca around 11:00 Saudi Arabia Time using 11 buses.

Upon arrival at their accommodation, all male prospective pilgrims were observed to be properly wearing ihram cloth as they had already taken the miqat.

Head of Sector 5 Work Area (Daker) Mecca of the Indonesian Hajj Organising Committee in Saudi Arabia, Muhammad Ikhsan, in Mecca on Thursday, expressed gratitude for the smooth process of receiving the prospective pilgrims from Kudus and Blora, Central Java.

“Alhamdulillah, SOC 44 has arrived. We had previously ensured smoothness at the sector office, and alhamdulillah, the reception and service preparations have proceeded exceptionally well as expected,” said Ikhsan.
