Snapshot of LPG Availability at Official Agents and Depots: Stocks Secure!
Workers are transferring 5.5kg non-subsidiary LPG gas cylinders (Bright Gas) at one of the agents in the Pasar Rebo area, Jakarta, on Wednesday (1/4/2026). The Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM), Bahlil Lahadalia, emphasised that the current national energy stocks, including LPG, are still above safe limits amid global geopolitical dynamics. Thus, prices at agents remain stable with no surge in orders. Maya, the owner of the LPG gas agent, stated that the current stock availability is not experiencing any obstacles and there has been no spike in purchases since before Eid al-Fitr. “For prices, there is also no increase until there is an official directive from Pertamina,” Maya added to CNBC Indonesia. Currently, the price of 3kg subsidised LPG at that agent is still sold for Rp17,000, while non-subsidiary LPG gas (Bright Gas) 5.5kg is priced at Rp90,000, and 12kg is sold for Rp192,000. The government also ensures that Indonesia has obtained replacement imports for oil and LPG from sources previously obtained through the Middle East. In addition, the public is urged to use it wisely together. The reason is that, as is known, 70% of Indonesia’s LPG is the result of imports.
