Smooth Flow of Eid al-Fitr Homecoming and Return Trips in the Last Two Years: This is the Key
Jakarta, VIVA – The Head of the Indonesian National Police Traffic Corps (Kakorlantas) Polri, Inspector General Agus Suryonugroho, engaged in a silaturahmi gathering with media, the Barisan Ansor Serbaguna (Banser) community, online motorcycle taxi communities, and the Senkom Mitra Polri community at the State University of Jakarta Sports Hall on Friday, 8 May 2026.
The event took place in a warm and friendly atmosphere as a form of appreciation for the support from various parties in securing the Eid al-Fitr homecoming and return traffic in 2026, which proceeded successfully and without issues.
The General Chairman of Senkom Mitra Polri, Kanjeng Pangeran Katno Hadi, stated that this silaturahmi event served as a moment to relax after all parties had worked hard to manage the Eid homecoming flow.
“This is an event where we can unwind from the remaining fatigue from handling the homecoming flow and such, so we can sit together, eat together,” said Katno Hadi.
According to him, the success of the homecoming traffic management was inseparable from the directives and strategies implemented by Kakorlantas Polri and its field personnel.
“In line with the directives from Pak Kakorlantas, and from what I’ve seen, these two years have certainly been very successful. Congratulations to Korlantas on the extraordinary homecoming activities felt by the travellers,” he added.
He hopes that the coordination and synergy established over the last two years can continue to be enhanced to provide the best service to the public, especially the homecoming travellers.
“My hope moving forward is to maximise it even more; these two years have been good. I hope it can still be maximised further, but I feel it has been extraordinary. Because I also own a rest area on the toll road. Of course, I saw the rhythm of this year’s homecoming was extraordinary and very orderly,” he explained.
Meanwhile, Fani, the representative of the Gojek Serikandi Merah Putih Community, expressed her delight at being invited and joining the silaturahmi event. She assessed that the relationship between online motorcycle taxi drivers and Polri is now closer and more harmonious.
“We are very pleased to be invited and to join this event; I am very grateful, and the relationship between ojol and Polri is now closer and more familiar. Thank you, Sir Kakorlantas,” said Fani.
