SMKN 1 Tukak Sadai Wins MPR RI Provincial Marching and Flag Hoisting Competition in Bangka Belitung

SMKN 1 Tukak Sadai has been crowned the first-place winner of the 2026 Provincial Marching and Flag Hoisting Competition (LKBB-PB) organised by the Indonesian People’s Consultative Assembly (MPR RI) in Bangka Belitung Province. The victory secures their place to represent the province at the national finals in Jakarta.

Judges from the Indonesian Former Flag Raisers Association (PPI), police, and military announced SMKN 1 Tukak Sadai’s win with a score of 8,815, followed by SMKN 2 Pangkalpinang (8,725) and MAN 1 Pangkalpinang (8,660) at the Merdeka Park Square in Pangkalpinang.

Acting Secretary-General of MPR RI Siti Fauziah noted the growing enthusiasm for the competition, which expanded from seven provinces in 2025 to 30 in 2026. She explained that the event aims to instil patriotic values among youth through physical activities rather than social media, emphasising discipline, unity, and mutual assistance. Future selections will involve tiered regional competitions.

SMKN 1 Tukak Sadai’s mentor Umi Rizayanti expressed gratitude for the victory despite challenges, including a team member’s motorcycle accident during preparation. “They endured pain and fatigue but remained determined,” she said. The team will intensify training for the national competition.

Team captain Ridho Maulana credited their success to unity and coordination, adding: “We will continue practising to maintain our chemistry for the national event.”
