SMKN 1 Bima City, West Nusa Tenggara (NTB), has spoken out regarding several of its students participating in brawls with students from SMKN 2 Bima City. The school claims that it has already provided guidance to its students.

“Before the incident (the brawl), we had already conducted guidance for the students,” said the Coordinator of Guidance and Counselling (BK) at SM_KN 1 Bima City, Muhamad Saud, to detikBali on Thursday (3/9/2026).

Saud revealed that the friction between his students and those from another school took place on Saturday following a futsal match. According to Saud, the brawl was beyond the school’s control, given that the location was quite far from the school’s radius.

“To prevent similar incidents, we have gathered them today to undergo further guidance and specific direction,” Saud explained.

Saud hopes that parents will play a role in supervising their children. He noted that, on average, the students involved in the brawls used motorcycles. Instead of going straight home after school, they tend to loiter and convoy on the streets.

“We urge parents to drop their children off at school and to remind them not to gather on the streets after school hours,” Saud clarified.

It was previously reported that student brawls occurred in Bima City, West Nusa Tenggara (NTB). The stone-throwing brawl reportedly involved groups of students from SMKN 1 and SMKN 2 Bima City and lasted for three days, starting from Monday (31/8/2026).
