SMI Disburses Rp 268 Billion for Infrastructure in Three Regencies
PT Sarana Multi Infrastruktur (Persero), or PT SMI, has disbursed financing worth Rp 268.36 billion to the Pemalang, Ciamis, and Rokan Hulu regency governments to support regional infrastructure development. The funds consist of Rp 55 billion for Pemalang Regency, Rp 58.37 billion for Ciamis Regency, and Rp 154.99 billion for Rokan Hulu Regency. The financing will be used for health infrastructure development, revitalisation of public facilities, and strengthening basic services in the three regions. “These three regencies face different development challenges, ranging from health services and market revitalisation to public service arrangement,” said PT SMI Director of Public Financing and Project Development Faaris Pranawa in a written statement on Friday, 17 July 2026. In Pemalang Regency, the financing will be used to complete the construction of the Randudongkal Regional General Hospital (RSUD). Meanwhile, in Ciamis Regency, the funds are allocated for the revitalisation of Banjarsari Market, the development of Purwadadi Community Health Centre, and the rehabilitation of primary schools. In Rokan Hulu Regency, the financing will be utilised for the rehabilitation of the Public Service Mall building and the construction of a regional general hospital along with its supporting facilities. PT SMI stated that the financing is expected to improve public access to health and public services while strengthening the regional economy. In 2025, the agriculture sector was the largest contributor to the Gross Regional Domestic Product (PDRB) in the three regencies, accounting for 25.51 percent in Pemalang, 21.74 percent in Ciamis, and 53.26 percent in Rokan Hulu. The company also noted an increasing trend in locally-generated revenue (PAD) and economic growth, which is considered to support the sustainability of development in each region. As of May 2026, PT SMI’s total financing commitments to regional governments reached Rp 37.41 trillion, with an outstanding amount of Rp 14.03 trillion. The company channels this financing through the Regional Loan scheme to support infrastructure development and improve the quality of public services in the regions. The financing agreement with the Pemalang Regency Government and the Ciamis Regency Government was signed on 15 July 2026 at the PT SMI office in Jakarta by Faaris Pranawa together with Pemalang Regent Anom Widiyantoro and Ciamis Regent Herdiat Sunarya. The agreement with the Rokan Hulu Regency Government was signed on 17 July 2026 at the same location by Faaris and Rokan Hulu Regent Anton.
