Bandarlampung - PT Semen Baturaja (Persero) Tbk (SMBR) distributed 17 sacrificial cows to communities and stakeholders across three operational regions for Eid al-Adha 1447 Hijriyah/2026 Gregorian. The activity is also part of the company’s efforts to strengthen harmonious relations with the surrounding community and reinforce its contribution to social development. David Irwanto, Senior Manager of CSR at SMBR, said the sacrificial animals were distributed in Baturaja, Palembang, and Lampung. He added that the programme is part of the company’s routine CSR initiatives aimed at benefiting the community. ‘The Eid al-Adha occasion serves as a reminder of the importance of compassion, unity, and sharing with others. We hope this donation brings benefit and happiness to the recipients,’ he said. In Baturaja, assistance was provided to communities in Sukajadi, Air Gading, Talang Jawa, Tanjung Agung, Saung Naga, Batu Kuning, Laya Village, Pusar Village, and the OKU Regency government. In Palembang, it went to Kertapati Village, while in Lampung, it was distributed to Way Lunik and Pidada Villages. According to David, the activity also strengthens harmonious relations with local communities and the company’s social development contributions. ‘Moving forward, SMBR is committed to implementing social programs in education, environment, and community empowerment aligned with Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) principles,’ he said.
