The Smart Indonesia Programme (PIP) is being disbursed once again in June 2026 as part of the government’s commitment to assisting with the educational costs of students from underprivileged families. Entering the Term 2 disbursement period, parents and students are urged to promptly verify their beneficiary status and activate their Simpanan Pelajar (SimPel) accounts to ensure the aid funds are not forfeited.

Account activation is a crucial step for students included in the Nomination Decree (SK Nominasi) or new recipients. Without activation, allocated aid funds cannot be processed to the Granting Decree (SK Pemberian) stage and cannot be disbursed. If the specified deadline is exceeded, beneficiary status may be revoked by the government.

Before activating the account at the bank, ensure the recipient status. PIP status can be checked online through the official website pip.kemdikbud.go.id.

To activate a SimPel account, prepare the following documents: Student Identity Card (Kartu Pelajar), Family Card (Kartu Keluarga), and the parent’s or guardian’s identity card (KTP).

Fund distribution is carried out through government partner banks according to education level: primary and secondary school funds are typically channelled through Bank BRI and Bank BNI, while other levels may use Bank Syariah Indonesia or regional banks.

PIP 2026 Fund Details: Primary School (SD) students receive Rp450,000 per year; Lower Secondary School (SMP) students receive Rp750,000 per year; and Upper Secondary School (SMA/SMK) students receive Rp1,800,000 per year. Nominal amounts for new students or those in their final year may be adjusted according to the current semester.

Beneficiaries are advised not to delay the activation process until close to the deadline. Always coordinate with the school operator if there are data issues such as discrepancies in the National Identity Number (NIK) or Student Identification Number (NISN).

Keep the SimPel savings book and debit card secure, and do not provide PIN information to any party to avoid misuse of educational assistance funds.
