SMAN 1 Praya Student Belvana Selected as National Paskibraka 2026 for NTB

Belvana Rolanda Vindia Kurniawan, a student from SMAN 1 Praya, has been selected as a candidate for the national-level Heritage Flag Raising Troop (Paskibraka) for 2026. She will represent West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) province at the 81st Independence Day of the Republic of Indonesia ceremony at the State Palace in Jakarta. The appointment was announced by the Pancasila Ideology Development Agency (BPIP) on Monday (22/6/2026). Nationally, BPIP selected 76 Paskibraka candidates, consisting of 38 males and 38 females from all provinces in Indonesia. From NTB, two students successfully qualified as provincial representatives, namely Maharazthu Rizqhy Ramadhana Chubuyana from SMAN 1 Taliwang, West Sumbawa Regency, as the male representative, and Belvana Rolanda Vindia Kurniawan from SMAN 1 Praya as the female representative. Both passed a tiered selection process from the district/city to the provincial level. Belvana’s success in becoming a national Paskibraka candidate is a source of pride for the people of Central Lombok and NTB Province. The Head of the National Unity and Politics Agency (Bakesbangpol) of Central Lombok, Murdi, expressed pride in Belvana’s achievement. He stated that the achievement was attained after completing all stages of the tiered selection process. ‘Yes, Belvana participated in the Paskibra selection from the beginning alongside more than 300 other high school participants from Central Lombok, both private and public,’ Murdi said. He explained that participants had to pass at least seven selection stages, including administration, a written test, a National Insight Test (TWK), a General Intelligence Test (TIU), a parade, a medical examination, and a personality psychotest. ‘Belvana went through every process. After passing at the district level, she was called up for the provincial level. There, she underwent medical examinations and another TIU. After that, she participated in the national level selection and passed,’ he stressed. He affirmed that the entire selection process was conducted transparently, with each participant having an account that recorded their assessment results at every stage, directly monitored by BPIP. ‘At each stage, each participant has an account that records their scores. And that is directly controlled by BPIP through the Transparansi Indonesia application,’ he said. He noted that Central Lombok initially sent two female students to the national Paskibraka selection process, but one was eliminated in the final stage, leaving one representative. Murdi added that Belvana is now awaiting her departure for Jakarta to undergo centralised training and quarantine, with candidates typically departing in the third week of July. Separately, Murdi mentioned that from this year’s Paskibra selection process, his agency recruited 37 students from private and public schools. Of these 37, 33 were selected to serve at the district level, three at the provincial level, and one at the national level.
