SMA I alumni to hold reunion

JAKARTA (JP): In commemoration of the golden anniversary of
SMA 1 Budi Utomo high school, which fell on March 13, the alumni
plan to hold a grand reunion.

Kurie Alim, vice chairman of the reunion organizing committee,
announced on Saturday that the event will take place in the Bali
Room at Hotel Indonesia on March 31. The festivities will start
at 10 a.m.

Among the alumni who have confirmed they will attend the grand
reunion is former foreign minister Dr. Mochtar Kusuma-Atmadja,
Subroto, former minister of mines and energy, Dr. Sumarlin,
former minister of finance and Minister of Transmigration Siswono
Yudohusodo, Alim said.

He said Purwoto Gandasubrata, former chief justice, Jakarta
Governor Surjadi Soedirdja, TB. M. Rais, vice Jakarta governor
for economy and development and noted psychologist Dr. Yaumil
Agoes Akhir, and prominent designer Iwan Tirta will also attend
the reunion.

The organizing committee has also contacted other alumni who
are now prominent public figures, including the children of
President Soeharto, Siti Hardiyanti Rukmana, Bambang Trihatmodjo
and Siti Hediati, Alim added.
