SM Green Taxi Pool in Tangsel Under Construction, but Building Approval and Traffic Impact Analysis Yet to be Completed

SOUTH TANGERANG, KOMPAS.com - The construction project for the SM Green Taxi pool on Jalan Raya Ciater, Serua, Ciputat, South Tangerang, is proceeding despite the Building Construction Approval (PBG) and Traffic Impact Analysis (Amdal Lalin) not yet being completed. On the other hand, the project’s activities are impacting the condition of surrounding roads. Mud from the work area is flowing onto the road surface, making it slippery. “Processes such as PBG, Amdal Lalin, and others are still ongoing,” said Deputy Mayor of South Tangerang Pilar Saga Ichsan during a surprise inspection at the site on Tuesday (5/5/2026). Therefore, Pilar emphasised that all permits must be promptly fulfilled by the developers. “So we are not discussing what this is for yet, but I demand that it be fulfilled first. No matter what it is for, all permits must be met,” he said. The local government will not issue further permits if administrative and technical requirements have not been completed by the developers. In addition to permits, Pilar also highlighted the on-site technical conditions, particularly the inadequate drainage system. This is evident from the flow of project mud that once overflowed onto Jalan Ciater Raya, making the road slippery and disrupting residents’ activities. In fact, every construction project is required to have its own drainage system so as not to burden the government’s water channels. “It should have its own drainage channel. Do not burden the existing road drainage,” he said. Pilar stressed that the project location is on a strategic route traversed by the public, so the impact of construction work must be controlled. “This is a vital area traversed by the public. Do not let incidents like this happen again because it is very detrimental,” he said. In addition, anticipatory measures are also requested to prevent mud from flowing onto roads or into river flows. “The quickest thing we ask to be done is excavation for drainage. I also request that the fire department be on standby as a precaution if rain falls,” said Pilar. As of this report, the project contractor has not responded to confirmation requests from Kompas.com.
