The Ministry of Transportation has begun conducting an investigative audit of the taxi company involved in the accident incident. The examination is being carried out thoroughly to ensure compliance with safety standards. This audit covers various important aspects, from operations to human resources.

“We have started conducting an investigative audit of the taxi company that was involved in the accident yesterday,” said Transport Minister Dudy Purwagandhi on Wednesday (29/4/2026).

The examination does not only focus on the vehicles but also on the company’s overall management system. This step is taken to assess whether the company has been operating in accordance with the established standards.

“The investigative audit we are conducting covers all aspects, both operational aspects, technical aspects, and also human resources, and this is still ongoing,” he said.

In addition, the government is also responding to issues circulating on social media regarding the legality of the vehicles used. However, that information still needs to be verified before its truth can be concluded.

“We must review that information as input, but we cannot immediately say that it is true,” said Dudy.

He emphasised that every vehicle operating on the road has gone through a series of strict procedures, from type testing to roadworthiness testing.

“Every vehicle will go through a process starting from the initial inspection of the production process to type testing, roadworthiness testing, and so on,” he explained.

Nevertheless, the government will not hesitate to take action if serious violations are found.

“We will not hesitate to take enforcement action if quite serious violations are found,” Dudy stressed firmly.
