Slovakian PM to visit RI

JAKARTA: Prime Minister of Slovakia Jozef Moravcik will begin a three-day official visit to Indonesia on Monday.

The state secretariat announced yesterday that Moravcik will arrive with his ministers of defense and economy, the deputy minister of foreign affairs, the governor of the central bank, 30 businessmen and 11 reporters.

During his visit here, the premier will hold talks with President Soeharto, ministers, businessmen and House members to increase bilateral cooperation, especially in the fields of economy and trade.

An agreement on investment protection will also be signed between leaders of the two countries.

Indonesia has recognized Slovakia since Jan. 1, 1993, after the Slovakian state declared its separation from the Federal Republic of Czech and Slovak.(pwn)
