Slipi Toll Exit Closed Due to May Day Labour Protest
Jasa Marga and the police are temporarily closing the Slipi exit at KM 09+650 on the Jakarta Inner City Toll Road towards Grogol due to a demonstration marking May Day 2026 in front of the DPR building on Friday (1/5).
Senior Manager of Representative Office 2 at Jasa Marga Metropolitan Tollroad, Ginanjar Bekti, stated that at the discretion of the police, starting at 13:26 WIB, the Slipi exit at KM 09+650 on the Jakarta Inner City Toll Road towards Grogol is subject to situational temporary closure.
“To support the smooth traffic management around the event location,” said Ginanjar in his statement on Friday (1/5).
As a result of this temporary closure, road users heading to the area are advised to use alternative exits via the Tomang Toll Gate, Tanjung Duren, or the nearest access points depending on on-site traffic conditions.
Ginanjar noted that this measure is taken to maintain the smooth mobility of road users amid increasing public activity around the event location.
“We urge road users to adjust their travel routes and utilise alternative accesses during the temporary closure. We will continue to update the latest information through official channels so that road users can plan their journeys better,” he said.
Ginanjar added that Jasa Marga, along with operational officers, has prepared traffic service personnel, Mobile Customer Service, and support vehicles at priority points. This ensures that traffic handling can be carried out quickly and measurably.
Additionally, traffic conditions are monitored periodically, and operational adjustments will be implemented as needed on the ground.
Furthermore, Jasa Marga apologises for any inconvenience that may arise due to these traffic adjustments.
Road users are advised to anticipate travel times and avoid congestion around the MPR/DPR building area and central Jakarta corridors until the event concludes.
