Sleman Regent sends off Hajj pilgrims from Sleman Regency

Sleman (ANTARA) - Sleman Regent Harda Kiswaya sent off 354 prospective Hajj pilgrims from Sleman Regency to perform the Hajj pilgrimage in 2026. “I am moved and certainly filled with gratitude and joy at the opportunity to send off the departure of the prospective Hajj pilgrims from Sleman Regency to perform the Hajj in the Holy Land,” said Harda in his speech before the pilgrims in the porch of the Grand Mosque Dr Wahidin Soedirohoesodo Sleman on Sunday. On that occasion, he also prayed that the Sleman Regency pilgrims would always receive protection from Allah SWT so that the entire series of Hajj rituals could be carried out and they return as Hajj mabrur. The Sleman Regent also entrusted prayers to the pilgrims so that Sleman Regency would always be granted blessings, kept away from all disasters, and the community live in a state of safety, peace, and prosperity. “Also pray that development in Sleman Regency can proceed well and benefit all the people,” he said. This year, the number of pilgrims from Sleman Regency totals 1,510 people, divided into five flight groups (kloter) and will be departed via Yogyakarta International Airport (YIA).
