S.Korea to lead APEC in 2005
BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN (Dow Jones): The Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation forum said Monday in a press release that the Republic of Korea would host the group's 17th summit, in 2005.
The next meeting, in 2002 will be in Shanghai, to be followed by Thailand and Chile.
APEC comprises the United States, Indonesia, Japan, South Korea, China, Australia, New Zealand, Brunei, Canada, Chile, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Mexico, Papua New Guinea, Peru, the Philippines, Russia, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand and Vietnam.
