SKK Migas Confident Indonesia's Oil Production Will Reach 610,000 Barrels by the End of 2026
SKK Migas remains optimistic that the national oil production target of 610,000 barrels per day (bopd) in 2026 can be achieved, even though production performance in early 2026 still faces several operational challenges.
The Head of SKK Migas, Djoko Siswanto, said that SKK Migas continues to monitor and oversee various operational disruptions that have impacted domestic oil production, especially in several major working areas such as the Rokan Block and the Cepu Block.
“Yes, we continue to monitor, monitor so that it can be completed quickly, by the end of July? Oh, mid-July,” said Djoko at the DPR RI Building, quoted on Thursday (4/6/2026).
Previously, national oil production was affected by several disruptions, including repairs to the electrical system at the power plant of PT PLN Mandau Cipta Tenaga Nusantara (PLN MCTN) in the Rokan Block and a natural decline in production in the Cepu Block.
Despite this, Djoko affirmed that his party is still confident that the national oil production target of 610,000 bopd by the end of the year can be achieved.
As is known, based on data up to May 2026, oil lifting from the Rokan Block was recorded at 131,040 barrels per day (bopd) or about 80% of the 2026 APBN target of 163,859 bopd. Meanwhile, ExxonMobil’s oil lifting reached 129,915 bopd or about 87.5% of the 2026 APBN target of 148,500 bopd.
Nationally, the realization of oil, condensate, and NGL production reached 576,133 bopd or equivalent to 94.4% of the 2026 APBN target of 610,000 bopd.
