Sketch of bombing suspect disseminated

AMBON: In a bid to find the perpetrators of a grenade attack that injured 19 people in Sirimau district, Ambon, on March 21, local police are disseminating a sketch of one of the two suspects throughout the greater Ambon area.

Ambon Police chief Adj. Sr. Comr. Leonidas Braksan said that the sketch was made based on statements from witnesses at the crime scene.

The suspect was described as being a well-built male, around 27 years of age, 170 centimeters tall, with a brown complexion, short wavy hair, a chubby round face with thick lips and a pointed nose. He was described as having a broken Ambonese accent.

Witnesses said that two suspects were riding a blue Yamaha RX- King when they threw the grenade. "The sketch made was of the driver," Leonidas said, adding that the police were assuming that the suspects had not yet left Ambon.- JP
