Sixth Vice President Try Sutrisno Received 19 Honour Awards Throughout His Life
Indonesia’s sixth Vice President, General Try Sutrisno (retired), received 19 honour awards throughout his lifetime. These awards were bestowed in recognition of his dedication and service to the nation and state.
Try Sutrisno was renowned as a leader possessing strong military discipline, modesty, and unwavering loyalty to the Indonesian Republic (NKRI). He commenced his military education at the Joint Staff and Command College (Seskogab) in 1977, which strengthened his capacity as a military officer. Throughout his tenure with the Indonesian Armed Forces (TNI), Try Sutrisno’s career was shaped through various strategic assignments.

President Joko Widodo extended his condolences following the passing of sixth Vice President General Try Sutrisno. The TNI Commander-in-Chief, General Agus Subiyanto, received Try Sutrisno’s remains for military burial. Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung also expressed his profound sorrow at the death of the sixth Vice President, visiting his family home to pay respects to the loss of a respected statesman.
