Sixteen Flood-Affected Areas Recorded in Jakarta on Monday Morning, All in West Jakarta
Jakarta — The Head of the Data and Information Centre at the Jakarta Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD), Mohammad Yohan, stated that 16 neighbourhoods (RT) across Jakarta remained inundated by flooding on Monday, 9 March 2026 morning.
“The BPBD has recorded 16 neighbourhoods and two road segments currently flooded based on information updated until 06:00 West Indonesian Time,” Yohan said in a written statement on Monday.
According to Yohan, all 16 flooded neighbourhoods are located in West Jakarta:
Duri Kosambi sub-district: 4 neighbourhoods
Rawa Buaya sub-district: 7 neighbourhoods
Jelambar sub-district: 1 neighbourhood
South Kembangan sub-district: 2 neighbourhoods
North Kembangan sub-district: 2 neighbourhoods
Additionally, nine evacuation centres are currently operating for flood-affected residents. All evacuation centres are located in West Jakarta, specifically in:
Kedaung Kali Angke sub-district
South Kembangan sub-district
North Kembangan sub-district
Jelambar sub-district
Yohan also noted that two road segments in West Jakarta are currently flooded.
