A six-year-old child from Kramat Sub-district, Central Jakarta, lost consciousness after allegedly becoming a victim of persecution by two teenagers. The victim’s grandmother, Linda Reselin, stated on Wednesday that her grandson, with the initials MWP, was in a coma and treated at Cipto Mangunkusumo Hospital (RSCM) after being electrocuted while being bullied by two adolescents. ‘My grandson is now conscious, but he is still afraid when meeting people,’ Linda told reporters. According to her, the abuse occurred on Sunday (7/6). Based on CCTV footage, two teenagers were seen taking the boy and pressing him against an electricity pole. Unfortunately, the pole located within the Kramat Pulo park area in Kramat Sub-district, Senen District, Central Jakarta, had an electrical leak, causing the victim to be shocked, suffer convulsions, and then faint. ‘I watched the CCTV footage from inside the park. In the recording, my grandson was seen being persecuted by two individuals with the initials LNG and RVN. My grandson was dragged and taken to a pole that apparently had an electrical current, causing him to be electrocuted,’ she said. Linda added that the case has been reported to the Central Jakarta Metro Police. However, to date, no party has been arrested by police officers to be held accountable for their actions. Meanwhile, a local resident named Asep confirmed that a six-year-old child was electrocuted and persecuted in the park area. Asep said the park is currently closed because of the incident involving the electrocuted six-year-old. The electrical leak has also been resolved as repairs have been made. ‘Until now, it is indeed still closed. It is known that the perpetrators of the persecution are a senior high school teenager and a junior high school child,’ he said.
