Six Ukrainian Kidnap Suspects Allegedly Hold Multiple Passports
Bali Police (Polda Bali) have revealed new facts regarding six suspects in the kidnapping case of Ukrainian national Igor Komarov (28), whose dismembered body was found in Ketewel, Gianyar. All six suspects are foreign nationals and are believed to possess more than one passport. Bali Police Public Relations Head Kombes Ariasandy said the finding arose during the investigation conducted by the police.
‘All of them are foreign nationals. With passports that could be more than two. Some hold two or even three passports,’ he said when met on Friday, 6 March 2026.
According to him, the police are continuing to coordinate with various agencies to trace the whereabouts of the suspects who are believed to be involved in the case. ‘We are continuing to coordinate with Immigration, Divhubinter Polri, and Interpol. We have also issued a DPO and red notice,’ Ariasandy explained.
Earlier, investigators named six suspects in relation to Komarov’s kidnapping case, who were later found to be murder victims. The victim’s identity was confirmed after DNA testing showed that the body fragments found in Muara Sungai Wos Teben, Ketewel Village, Sukawati, Gianyar matched the victim’s mother’s DNA profile.
Nevertheless, police have not yet been able to determine whether the suspects are part of a particular criminal network. At present, investigators are focusing on identifying and tracing the whereabouts of those believed to be strongly involved in the kidnapping case. ‘We have not received information on the background of this network from the consulate concerned or from the local police,’ Ariasandy stated.
