Mulyono, head of the Bitung immigration office, said that the six, who did not have adequate immigration documents, mainly temporary stay permits, were arrested as they repaired one of the ships confiscated by the National Police at Bitung port.
The six were identified as Wu Jia Hsiung, 60; Liu Hsin-I, 41; Lin Cheng Shau, 44; Lin Sung Sheng, 42; Huang Ching Huang, 46; and Lin Chen Nan, 64.
"We will deport them because they have violated the immigration regulations, namely working at Bitung without any permit," Mulyono said, as quoted by Antara.
