Six Suspects Named in MBG Governance Corruption Case, Latest is IFSR Foundation Chair
The Attorney General’s Office has named a new suspect in the alleged corruption case concerning the governance of the Free Nutritious Meals (MBG) programme. There are now six suspects in the case, with the chair of a foundation becoming the latest suspect.
Chair of the Indonesia Food Security Review (IFSR) Foundation, Glory Harimas Sihombing, has been named a suspect in the case. The five other individuals are former BGN Head Dadan Hindayana, former BGN Deputy Head Sony Sonjaya, former BGN Deputy Head Lodewyk Pusung, Asep Yusuf Somantri (AYS), a close associate of Sony, and Commissioner of PT Yasa Artha Trimanunggal (PT YAT), the provider of BGN’s electric motorcycles, Andri Mulyono (AM).
Glory was examined as a witness today. However, after investigators found sufficient evidence, Glory was also named a suspect.
"After conducting an examination of the witness, GHS, and based on two pieces of evidence, the investigation team has named GHS, a private party, as a suspect in the case in question," said the Director of Investigation at the Junior Attorney General for Special Crimes, Syarief Sulaeman Nahdi, to reporters at the Attorney General’s Office in Jakarta on Thursday (18/6/2026).
Glory Harimas Sihombing was immediately detained for the next 20 days. She is being held at the Salemba Detention Centre.
"The suspect is currently being detained for the next 20 days at the Salemba Detention Centre, branch of the Attorney General’s Office of the Republic of Indonesia," Syarief said.
Syarief stated that Glory is charged under Article 12 letters a, b, and e of the Corruption Eradication Law, as well as Article 20 letter a of Law Number 1 of 2023 concerning the Criminal Code.
Syarief explained that Glory Harimas Sihombing (GHS) was asked by Dadan to find partners for the implementation of the Free Nutritious Meals (MBG) programme.
"DH unlawfully gave GHS access to SPPG kitchen points for the foundation owned by GHS," Syarief said.
After GHS’s foundation, the Indonesia Food Security Review Foundation, obtained the SPPG kitchen points, she sold the points to other parties.
"The foundation sold the SPPG kitchen points to parties wishing to establish kitchens in the areas where the points were located," he said.
Glory Harimas also received access from Dadan to communicate with the verification team appointed by Dadan. This situation is said to have benefited Glory Harimas’s foundation.
"So that GHS could arrange a rollback on the SPPG under the auspices of GHS’s foundation to restore its status," he said.
After arranging the SPPG points, Glory allegedly gave a sum of money to Dadan. The money came from MBG partners managed by Glory Harimas.
"GHS unlawfully gave a sum of money, both in foreign currency and rupiah, to DH, which was given in cash and sourced from MBG partners who asked for GHS’s help to become MBG partners," he said.
