Six suspects linked to drug case of police chief AKBP Didik brought to Bareskrim
Jakarta — Six suspects in a narcotics case involving former Bima City Police Chief AKBP Didik Putra Kuncoro have been transferred from detention at the West Nusa Tenggara Regional Police (Polda NTB) to the National Police Criminal Investigation Directorate (Bareskrim) headquarters in Jakarta.
“We have brought all of them here now. They only arrived this morning,” said Brigadier General Police Eko Hadi Santoso, head of the Narcotics Crime Directorate (Dirtipidnarkoba), when met at Bareskrim headquarters on Friday.
The six suspects are the former head of the Bima City Police Narcotics Unit, AKP M (Malaungi); junior officer Bripka IR (Irfan); civilians Yusril (YI) and Herman (HR); and two women — AN (Anita), wife of Bripka IR, and AS (Ais Setyawati), the network’s treasurer.
Eko stated that the six suspects were brought to Jakarta to be questioned by investigators. “They are currently undergoing Bareskrim examination for cross-examination of each person’s testimony,” he said.
The six suspects are involved in two initial clusters of the narcotics case surrounding AKBP Didik Putra Kuncoro.
The case was uncovered on 24 January 2026 when the West Nusa Tenggara Regional Police Narcotics Directorate arrested YI and HR, who are civilians. Investigators seized 30.415 grams of methamphetamine from them. Upon further investigation, it was revealed that YI and HR were subordinates of AN.
It transpired that AN was the wife of a police officer stationed at Bima City Police named Bripka IR.
On 25 January 2026, Bripka IR turned himself in to the West Nusa Tenggara Regional Police Narcotics Directorate, and the following day, on 26 January 2026, AN was arrested.
From interrogation of AN, it emerged that police officer AKP Malaungi was involved in the illegal drug distribution. AN stated she had attended a meeting involving AS, the network treasurer; KE (Koko Erwin), the network leader; and Malaungi, where they discussed funds to be handed over to Didik.
On 3 February 2026, the West Nusa Tenggara Regional Police Internal Affairs sub-division and the Narcotics Directorate arrested Malaungi and seized five packets of methamphetamine weighing 488.496 grams net.
In further questioning, Malaungi revealed that he had received money from drug traffickers from June 2025 to November 2025. The majority of these funds were handed over to AKBP Didik, Malaungi’s direct superior. The total amount handed to Didik was 2.8 billion rupiah.
