Six stabbed in three days

JAKARTA: In the space of three consecutive days, six people were stabbed at several locations in the capital, claiming four lives and injuring two others.

On Tuesday morning, Ahmad Firmansyah, 24, was stabbed to death by Dolok, alias Mul, 25, a foodstall owner at Pisangan, East Jakarta, after the victim had repeatedly refused to pay for meals he had consumed.

On Monday morning, Ciputat police subprecinct reported that two people, Gumontar Sinaga, 38, and his niece, Ika Simbolon, 19 had been stabbed by Sinaga's nephew, Robert Sitorus, 21, who later set them on fire as the former had refused to lend him Rp 30,000.

On Monday evening, Firdaus, 22, was stabbed by Abu Yazed, 22. Firdaus was attacked by Abu when he tried to help a lady who had been threatened by Abu at the parking lot of Taman Anggrek Mall in West Jakarta, police reported.

Duren Sawit police subprecinct in East Jakarta also reported on Sunday that Adi, 25, a cousin of Saud Safii, 60, stabbed the latter to death, and severely injured Abdul Hamid Safii, 27 due to an argument over family financial matters. --JP
