Six South Jakarta sub-districts meet Public Information Disclosure standards

Six sub-districts in South Jakarta have met the standards to achieve the ‘Towards Informative’ predicate in the Public Information Disclosure Award by the Public Information Commission. “We appreciate the six sub-districts, namely Setiabudi, Selong, Menteng Atas, Pasar Manggis, Rawa Barat, and Duren Tiga, as well as two community health centres, Puskesmas Jagakarsa and Pancoran, which have been able to meet the standards set by the Public Information Commission,” said the Assistant for Administration and People’s Welfare of the South Jakarta Administrative City, Tomy Fudihartono, during the Guidance and Assistance for Follow-Up on e-Monitoring and Evaluation Results of Public Information Disclosure in South Jakarta on Monday. Tomy stated that this activity, which is a follow-up to Law Number 14 of 2008 concerning Public Information Disclosure, is routinely held in South Jakarta. “Public information disclosure is no longer a taboo subject, but rather a demand. If we do not keep up with these developments, we will become the spotlight or a target, especially on social media,” he said. It is hoped that through this guidance and assistance, services in the six sub-districts and two community health centres can improve further, and that other public service elements in South Jakarta can achieve similar results. Meanwhile, the Commissioner for Education, Socialisation, and Advocacy of the DKI Jakarta Information Commission, Ferid Nugroho, conveyed that the purpose of this activity is for participants to increase their capacity as public servants. “All this time, sub-districts and community health centres have been the spearhead of services that directly interact with the community,” said Ferid. The activity was attended by approximately 20 participants, including the Head of the South Jakarta Communication, Informatics, and Statistics Sub-department, Netti Herawati, several sub-district heads, and representatives from Puskesmas Jagakarsa and Pancoran.
